COA Online Membership Contribution

The Community Oncology Alliance (COA) is a non-profit organization dedicated to advocating for community oncology practices and, most importantly, the patients they serve. COA is the only organization dedicated solely to community oncology where the majority of Americans with cancer are treated. The mission of COA is to ensure that cancer patients receive quality, affordable, and accessible cancer care in their own communities. More than 1.5 million people in the United States are diagnosed with cancer each year and deaths from the disease have been steadily declining due to earlier detection, diagnosis, and treatment.

COA is a 501(c)(6) organization. A portion of your contributions are tax deductible. However, under Code Section 162(e), no deduction is allowed for amounts paid in connection with influencing legislation or any direct communication with a covered branch official in an attempt to influence the official actions or positions of such official. Under Code Section162(e), COA has a duty to inform contributors that a certain percentage of contributions to COA will go towards funding such lobbying efforts as defined by Code Section 162(e), and, therefore, will not be deductible for tax purposes in any given year.
